E-book "How to fulfill your intentions"

Dear all

Finished the e-book I've been working on.  Its short, focused and looks at the "doing" rather than the planning.  Plus it's an absolute steal at £7.50, have a look at http://www.supremacytraining.com/page12.htm purchase via the shopping cart and it'll get e-mailed to you pretty much straight away

Best wishes

Rich

New module - Problem Solving and Decision Making

Hi Everyone

Gone a bit crazy on the writing at the moment!  I’ve completed Problem solving and decision making ready to deliver course.  It goes beyond the techniques and examines what goes on with you as individuals when making decisions.  It’s on for £50 at the moment but will be increasing to £99 on the 10th March.

You can get it here  http://www.supremacytraining.com/page13.htm (scroll to the bottom of the page) or if you’ve got any other questions or want to see a sample, e-mail me on info@supremacytraining.com

Presenting with power

Hi Everyone

As professional presenters, I don't think any of us really lose the "fear" for want of a better word.  I myself have been presenting for the best part of seven years and I still get a nervous twinge before doing a presentation.

But is it nerves?  Or is it excitement?  What do nerves feel like?

Butterflies in your stomach, shakes, sweats etc. And what does excitement feel like?  Get the picture?

Make no mistake; presenting is an exciting thing to do.  It’s like walking a tightrope, one false step can send us toppling down but it is this realisation alone that keeps us focused on the "tightrope".  The tightrope is the direction you are walking on; you are focused on your key message delivery, your audience participation and so on.

Whether you call it nerves or excitement, if we examine it closely, it's actually energy.  Energy that can either eat us up or carry us through, depending on what decision we make.  Whether we decide to use it through impeccable preparation, self control and thorough knowledge of our subject, or whether we decide to lose it by allowing the energy to take over

Thanks for listening in

Innovation on a Monday Morning

Hi All

Delivered a training session this morning on managing innovation.  I can't believe how well it went considering some idiot (me!) booked it for 9am on a monday morning!  We started with a snowball fight (well, it is christmas!) where everyone writes three things about themselves on a piece of paper, scrunches it up and throws it at each other for a bit, then picks up a "snowball" unravels it and reads it out, the person its about makes themselves known and went straight into idea generation techniques, and some steps I had developed to make the process more "human".  We covered a lot of ground for a half day course.  Which leads me to my thought.  Is shorter better?  I can fit loads into a half day course, even a 2 hour course and people seem to go away way more energised (from my observations)  Any thoughts?

I've finally started my book too on fulfilling intentions so will keep you posted

Have a great christmas if I don't blog again

New Blog

Hi All

Thought I'd start a blog.  I used to keep a journal but I suppose I'd better get with the times and make it available to all!  This is in addition to my monthly newsletter so that won't be stopping, I'll try to post once a week if I can.

So another year out and I've been going over my achievements in training.  I set up supremacy training newsletter and website this year, passed my CIPD Certificate, launched a successful leadership program, run workshops on everything from complaince to innovation (especially weird when you do them both on the same day) TNAs  etc. etc.  Am I better trainer than this time last year?  I think so.  And there in lies the challenge, by ending the year better off than where you were last year I think is a very good sign.

Working with co-trainers?  A good or bad thing?

Training has always been (for want of a better word) a "lonely" job, yes you may have a team, network or even a partner, but when you're up there, let's face it, you're on your own and one mistake can lead to being shot down!  Some of us like that, I personally find it hard working with a co-trainer.  Especially with the amount of banter I throw about, not many can put up with me for that long!  So I'll stick to my own company when training thank you!

What does everyone else think?

See you soon
